Summary

Since January of 2021, I have witnessed, learned of, and documented numerous episodes of misconduct, lies, manipulation, and cover-ups happening on the Sachse City Council, primarily relating to Jeff Bickerstaff's initiative to have the former CEO of the Sachse Economic Development Corporation forced out of her job so that he could get the authority of the corporation transferred under the City Manager.  On this page, I'll be releasing updates on this issue, along with ample evidence of said misconduct, lies, manipulation, and cover-ups.  Please check back regularly for updates over the coming days, weeks, and months leading up to the city's 2025 elections on May 3rd.

In this post, I've summarized the Sachse City Council meeting of January 19th, 2021, where Jeff first proposed modifying the SEDC's by-laws to specify that the CEO of the SEDC would be "the City Manager or his/her appointee", and the immediate aftermath of that meeting.

The Phone Call -- published February 8th, 2025

In this post, I've covered a phone call I had with Jeff Bickerstaff on February 1st, 2021, where Jeff told me the "council wants to see a change" to the former CEO's employment.  I later learned there was no truth to that assertion, as the council had never debated the CEO's performance, and had never been fully informed of how she was performing in the role.
